Clarke Simpson – Director, Xperitus Consulting
As a former consultant for American Express Consulting, Clarke Simpson has over a decade of experience in the meetings and events industry with a specialist background in business travel, meeting consolidation and associated technology. Clarke's time at Amex saw him deliver
multinational and locally based projects for corporations headquartered in Europe and North America. Simpson's new position as head of Xperitus Consulting serves the purpose of delivering companies substantial savings through consolidation and rationalisation of event and meeting management in
which technology has a major part to play.
Reid Jenner – NADUM Associate
Reid Jenner is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in
business (B.Comm., 1980). From 1980 until 1990 he managed small and mid-size
independent companies in the areas of personal health care and retail
insurance. From 1990 to 1995, Reid was a consultant with Kepner-Tregoe Inc.
where he earned certification in the areas of Problem-Solving/Decision-Making,
Project Management, Managing Involvement and other technologies.
Since 1995 Reid has been an independent management consultant in private
practice. During this time he has instructed, facilitated and coached teams and
individuals in over one hundred Fortune 500 companies across a range of
industries including: financial services, manufacturing, technology, natural
resources, retail, health care, government, pharmaceutical and professional
services. The types of business issues he has facilitated include strategy
formulation, project management, situation appraisal, problem-solving, decision
making, people/performance management, and risk assessment.
Building upon his wealth of experience with a wide variety of teams across many
disciplines, Reid's primary interest is in the area of coaching and
facilitating - where he believes significant and sustained performance
improvement on behalf of both the individual and the organization can be
realized.
Michael Farley – Private Equity Advisor
Over the past ten years, Michael has advised over 50 IT and Biotech companies
seeking international financing in connection with market expansion or business
development plans. He is especially active in Asia and Europe where several of
his clients successfully found partners and equity financing. Michael has also
helped start companies in the food distribution and internet services
businesses. In 2000, he completed a major turnaround as CEO of a Vancouver
internet software company. For several years he acted as private equity advisor
to the Sojecci Family Trust which invests in IT venture capital funds. Michael
also worked as a diplomat for a number of years, including four years as Consul
and Investment Advisor at the Canadian Consulate in Italy. Dr. Farley holds a
Phd from the University of Montreal and is fluent in several European
languages.
Kate Gregory – Gregory Consulting, MSDN Regional Director
(Toronto)
Kate Gregory is the author of numerous books for Que Books, including four
editions of Special Edition Using Visual C++, most recently the .NET edition -
www.usingvisualc.net for details. She teaches (and develops courses on) .NET,
XML, UML, C++, Java, and the Internet for a variety of corporate clients. She
is also in demand as an expert speaker, having completed two cross-country
tours for Microsoft Canada in the last six months. Kate is also an adjunct
faculty member at Trent University and a member of many advisory boards.
In January 2002, Kate was appointed MSDN Regional Director for Toronto. MSDN is
the Microsoft Developer Network, Microsoft's outreach program for developers
who make software for Microsoft platforms and/or use Microsoft tools.
Kate is also a founding partner of Gregory Consulting Limited
(www.gregcons.com), a software development consultancy focused on building
web-based components and providing mentoring services to firms looking to adopt
new technologies.
